Your dentist will ensure that the tooth and gum are thoroughly numb prior to treatment to ensure a pain-free, comfortable process. The tooth will then be removed safely and with as little intervention as possible.

Recovery from tooth face extraction depends on the complexity of the procedure. After a simple tooth removal, you can carry on with your normal routine on the same day. If it’s more complicated, you may need a few days to recover.

After a few months of healing, replacement options such as a denture, bridge or implant will be offered if you are eligible.

Intervention by a specialist on referral may be necessary for difficult tooth extractions due to complex anatomy, medical history or proximity to other structures, such as nerves or your sinus.
