What are Dentures?
Cosmetic dentures are used to replace multiple missing teeth to offer you a natural-looking smile, give you back your bite and restore your confidence.
Dentures are discreet plates that hold a number of false teeth on either an acrylic base or metal frame. They are typically a stepping-stone for implant placement in the future, or where a bridge is not possible. There’s often minimal to no preparation of your natural teeth required.
As a more common replacement option than you may think, we understand that this can be a daunting prospect and our aim is make this process as easy as possible for you.

Types of Dentures
Partial Dentures

A partial denture replaces 1 or more missing teeth and blends in seamlessly with your remaining natural teeth. They can have a metal or acrylic body which clasps onto existing teeth for support.
Complete Dentures

Completes dentures restore all missing teeth in an arch on either the upper or lower jaw. The full custom denture is tailor-made to rest on your gums and sit comfortably in the mouth without movement.
Implant-Support Dentures

For ultimate stability, dentures can be anchored to dental implants placed into the jaw. As these dentures are fixed to dental implants, they are much more secure!
How Do I Take Care of My Dentures?
- Use a soft-bristled brush and non-abrasive cleaner to clean your dentures.
- Keep your dentures moist to prevent them from drying out. You could soak them in a denture cleaning solution or water overnight.
- To avoid buildup of food particles and bacteria, rinse your dentures after meals.
- Even with full dentures, it’s important to clean your gums, tongue, and any remaining natural teeth to prevent infections.
- Your dentist will monitor your dentures and the health of your gums, while the hygienist will professionally clean the teeth and gums.
